Noted Dutch garden and meadow designer and author Piet Oudolf visited the Delaware Botanic Gardens site near Dagsboro Sunday afternoon, Oct. 18. Oudolf is internationally famous for his work with meadow-like plantings in such high-profile projects as High Line Park in New York City and Lurie Garden in Chicago. Delaware Botanic Garden officials have invited Oudolf to design a meadow garden component for their 37-acre site along Pepper Creek northwest of Dagsboro. After touring the site for two hours, Oudolf said he's likely to take on the project. See more photos and information about Oudolf's visit in the Barefootin' column coming in the Oct. 24 edition of the Cape Gazette.
